EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH THE ART OF DIVING.
In the Asir Province of Saudi Arabia, women are traditionally responsible for plastering and painting the walls, corridors, and ceilings of their homes in an artistic style called Al-Qatt (or Majilis). This artistic discipline has been passed down from generation to generation to a point where it has become not only part of Saudi cultural heritage today, but a mark of pride for a woman in the country.
Nouf Al Osaimi (Padi & Girls That Scuba ambassador), the woman behind Red Sea Citizen Dive Club honors and continues the legacy of these women in her own way; by empowering women through diving.
For this reason, we based the Red Sea Citizen Dive Club logo on this artistic cultural heritage. What better way to represent a new generation of women who are here to not only empower women, but to create a huge diving community based on respect, and love for the ocean.
